Youth Football Camps and programs hosted by the NFL Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons Youth Football Camps will be held throughout the year all over the state of Georgia. Children ages 7 – 13 are encouraged to attend this free special one day camp which will focus on teaching young athletes proper football tackling technique, as well as other football and life skills. This is a non-contact camp, so there is no equipment needed.
The camp will incorporate proper tackling techniques along with character-based lessons. The safe, non-contact football instruction teaches children the right way to play and how to avoid injuries. Former Atlanta Falcons players serve as camp instructors and provide hands-on teaching of fundamentals, as well as position-specific training.
Flag Football Coach of the week
As part of the Coach of the Week Program presented by Nike powered by AJC Varsity, the NFL and Atlanta Falcons will recognize five (5) head high school varsity flag football coaches across the states of Georgia for their hard work and dedication to making a difference in student-athletes lives on and off the field. Each winning head coach will receive a $1,000 grant for their program, recognition from the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution along with additional special events.
Girls Flag Football
Over the past six years, the Atlanta Falcons and The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation have worked tirelessly to elevate the sport of girls flag football to be sanctioned across the United States to promote gender equality in sports offered at the high school level. It has become one of the fastest growing sports and other states are following the Falcons’ lead.
